Worship at St. Matthew
Note: This coming Sunday, March 2, St. Matthew will join the Arizona Korean UM congregation in their worship service at 11:00 a.m. The 11:00 service will be livestreamed. There will be no 9:00 service.
We will return to our regular 9:00 a.m. service on March 9.
Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.
Our services are casually traditional, with a choir leading worship and an organ playing hymns. Words for hymns, scriptures, and responsive readings are projected onto a screen; printed hymnals and Bibles are also accessible in the pews, and printed bulletins are available on request.
All ages are welcome in the service. If parents prefer extra space, our chapel (adjacent to the Sanctuary) is available as a crying room. Children up to the fifth grade are invited to come to the front of the church for the Children's Moment and leave with their class to Sunday School, or they may stay in the service with their parents.
Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. Communion at St. Matthew consists of gluten-free bread and non-alcoholic grape juice. ALL people, regardless of age, lifestyle, religious beliefs, or church affiliation, are welcomed with love to join us at the Lord's table.
After worship, people gather on the patio (weather permitting) to socialize or head into the Activity Center for coffee, refreshments, and more fellowship--the perfect place to make new friends!
If you are unable to attend in person, you are always invited to attend online or watch the service later.
Come join us next Sunday!
